Role Purpose Statement

Ramp/Transportation Operations Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all ground-level activities related to aircraft catering and loading. This role requires a strong emphasis on safety, efficiency, and customer service. The supervisor will ensure seamless operations, on-time performance, and adherence to company standards and regulatory requirements.

Main Accountabilities

Supervisor Responsibility

•    Oversees daily ramp operations, including loading and unloading of catering equipment and supplies.
•    Manages ramp personnel, including scheduling, training, and performance management.
•    Ensures compliance with all safety regulations, including OSHA, FAA, and TSA guidelines.
•    Conducts regular safety inspections and training sessions.
•    Coordinates with flight operations and catering teams to ensure timely and accurate loading of aircraft.
•    Monitors and optimizes ramp efficiency, including equipment utilization and workflow.
•    Resolves operational issues and problems in a timely and effective manner.
•    Maintains accurate records and reports on ramp activities and performance metrics.
•    Collaborates with other departments to ensure smooth operations and customer satisfaction.

Leadership

  • Guide, motivate and develop staff within the Human Resources policies
  • Make the company's values and management principles live in the department(s)
  • Manage productivity hours and costs in the area of responsibility; initiate and steer corrective actions in case of deviations
  • Participate and support company sponsored initiatives such as Quality, HACCP, Lean Manufacturing, Employee Safety and Production systems

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

•    Previous experience in ramp operations or a related field.
•    Strong leadership and supervisory skills.
•    In-depth knowledge of aviation safety regulations and procedures.
•    Excellent organizational and time management skills.
•    Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
•    Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
•    Valid driver's license and ability to operate ground service equipment.
