Role Purpose Statement

At  Sky Chefs, employee safety is our top priority. We are committed to maintaining the highest safety standards and ensuring compliance with all regulations to protect our team and operations. As a Ramp Safety Clerk, you will play a critical role in supporting our driver safety program by monitoring standard operating procedures (SOPs), maintaining compliance records, and assisting in training efforts. This administrative position is key to fostering a culture of safety and operational excellence on the ramp. Main Accountabilities

•    Responsible for SOP training for all new drivers and re-training of drivers
•    Responsible for updating and maintaining all driver files
•    Processing of all Port Authority/Customs identifications
•    Ensure all State inspections, registrations and Insurance ID’s for trucks are current
•    Responsible for ensuring all drivers adhere to A-1 Inspection procedures
•    Assist the Ramp Safety Supervisor as needed and perform other clerical duties as assigned
 

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

•    High School Diploma or equivalent
•    Mus possess a valid driver’s license and be able to obtain Airport SIDA badge and CBP Customs Seal within 30 days of hire
•    3-5 years of safety experience preferred; AOA ramp experience may be substituted year for year for Safety experience
•    Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook and other computer applications
•    Ability to work with minimum supervision
•    Strong analytical, verbal, written, interpersonal and organizational skills
•    Detail oriented
•    Ability to work in a fast paced environment with large groups – must be flexible
•    Open availability, ability to work nights and weekends as operations require
