Role Purpose Statement
The Food Quality Assurance Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily quality assurance and food safety operations at the unit level. This role ensures compliance with regulatory requirements, customer specifications, and internal standards while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and food safety awareness throughout the production process.
Main Accountabilities

Supervise and guide QA technicians in daily inspections and monitoring activities.

Ensure compliance with FDA, USDA, HACCP, and other relevant food safety and quality regulations.

Conduct regular audits of food preparation, storage, sanitation, and hygiene practices.

Oversee the implementation and documentation of HACCP and quality control plans.

Collaborate with production teams to identify and resolve quality issues proactively.

Train employees on food safety protocols and support corrective action implementation.

Prepare and analyze reports on quality metrics, deviations, and corrective/preventive actions (CAPAs).

Communicate with airline customers and internal stakeholders regarding quality concerns and expectations.

Support product traceability, recall procedures, and internal investigations when necessary.

Maintain accurate documentation and ensure readiness for internal and external audits.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Quality Assurance, or related field preferred; equivalent work experience considered.

2–4 years of experience in food manufacturing or food service quality assurance.

Knowledge of food safety standards (HACCP, GMPs, SQF, etc.).

Experience leading or supervising teams in a fast-paced production environment.

Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and communication abilities.

Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.

Proficient in Microsoft Office and quality management systems.
