Role Purpose Statement

The Production Clerk plays a key role in supporting the production team by maintaining accurate records, coordinating workflow, tracking inventory, and ensuring timely and efficient production processes. This position requires attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Main Accountabilities

• Maintain and update production schedules and work orders

• Input and track data related to materials, labor, and production output in ERP or inventory systems

• Communicate with procurement, warehouse, and production teams to ensure materials and components are available for scheduled work

• Prepare and distribute production reports, labels, and documentation

• Monitor and maintain inventory records, including raw materials and finished goods

• Support quality control processes by ensuring documentation is complete and accurate

• File and maintain production documents and records in compliance with company policies

• Assist in coordinating shipments, receiving, and stock movements as needed

• Perform clerical duties such as data entry, document filing, scanning, and correspondence

• Collaborate with production supervisors to resolve delays or discrepancies in orders

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or relevant certification preferred

• 1–2 years of experience in a production, manufacturing, or clerical role

• Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel); experience with ERP systems is a plus

• Strong organizational and time-management skills

• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry

• Ability to communicate effectively with team members and supervisors

• Knowledge of inventory and supply chain processes is an asset
