Role Purpose Statement
The Safety Clerk supports the department by maintaining accurate records, monitoring compliance activities, and assisting with the implementation of safety programs and procedures. This role ensures that documentation, reports, and training records are kept up to date, while providing administrative and operational support to promote a safe and compliant workplace. By helping coordinate audits, inspections, and safety initiatives, the Safety Clerk plays an important role in sustaining LSG Sky Chefs’ commitment to employee well-being, food safety, and regulatory compliance.
Main Accountabilities
• Responsible for SOP training for all new drivers and re-training of drivers
• Responsible for updating and maintaining all driver files
• Processing of all Port Authority/Customs identifications
• Ensure all State inspections, registrations and Insurance ID’s for trucks are current
• Responsible for ensuring all drivers adhere to A-1 Inspection procedures
• Assist the Ramp Safety Supervisor as needed and perform other clerical duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills and Experience

High School Diploma or equivalent required

Valid driver’s license; must be able to obtain Airport SIDA badge and CBP Customs Seal within 30 days of hire

3–5 years of experience in safety, compliance, or related field preferred (AOA ramp experience may be considered in place of safety experience)

Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook) and comfortable with other computer systems

Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills

Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively across teams

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while managing multiple priorities

Flexible and adaptable to a fast-paced, dynamic environment with large groups and shifting operational needs

Open schedule availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required by operations
