Role Purpose Statement

The Inventory Control Coordinator – Equipment & Liquor is responsible for tracking, managing, and securing all UA (United Airlines) equipment and liquor inventory to ensure accurate accountability and compliance with airline and regulatory standards. This role supports catering operations by maintaining precise inventory records, coordinating deliveries and returns, and identifying discrepancies to minimize loss. The coordinator works closely with internal teams and airline partners to uphold quality, efficiency, and control across all related processes.

Main Accountabilities

  • Monitor and track all UA liquor and equipment inventory across multiple points (inbound, outbound, storage).

  • Conduct regular audits to ensure proper inventory control and documentation.

  • Reconcile inventory discrepancies and investigate root causes of overages or shortages.

  • Maintain accurate records of inventory movements using manual logs and digital systems.

  • Communicate with airline representatives and internal departments to align on equipment and liquor usage needs.

  • Ensure all procedures comply with airline specifications, security standards, and regulatory guidelines.

  • Support ordering, restocking, and forecasting of supplies based on consumption patterns.

  • Assist in preparing reports for internal audits, airline reviews, or compliance inspections.

  • Help coordinate daily operational activities related to liquor and equipment control, including returns and rotation.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • High school diploma or GED

  • Experience in inventory control, supply chain, warehouse, or logistics (1+ years preferred)

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy

  • Basic math and reconciliation skills

  • Proficient in using inventory systems, Excel, or data entry tools

  • Ability to work independently and follow SOPs

  • Good written and verbal communication skills

  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment
