Role Purpose Statement

At LSG Sky Chefs, safety is at the heart of everything we do. The Safety Clerk plays a key role in supporting our safety and compliance efforts by maintaining accurate records, assisting with incident reporting, and helping ensure adherence to regulatory and company safety standards. This role supports the Safety Manager and operational teams by organizing documentation, tracking training and certifications, and facilitating communication across departments to promote a safe and compliant work environment. With attention to detail and a proactive approach, the Safety Clerk contributes to our ongoing commitment to protecting our people, products, and processes.

Main Accountabilities

•    Responsible for SOP training for all new drivers and re-training of drivers
•    Responsible for updating and maintaining all driver files
•    Processing of all Port Authority/Customs identifications
•    Ensure all State inspections, registrations and Insurance ID’s for trucks are current
•    Responsible for ensuring all drivers adhere to A-1 Inspection procedures
•    Assist the Ramp Safety Supervisor as needed and perform other clerical duties as assigned
 

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

•    High School Diploma or equivalent
•    Mus possess a valid driver’s license and be able to obtain Airport SIDA badge and CBP Customs Seal within 30 days of hire
•    3-5 years of safety experience preferred; AOA ramp experience may be substituted year for year for Safety experience
•    Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook and other computer applications
•    Ability to work with minimum supervision
•    Strong analytical, verbal, written, interpersonal and organizational skills
•    Detail oriented
•    Ability to work in a fast paced environment with large groups – must be flexible
•    Open availability, ability to work nights and weekends as operations require
•    Usual shift will be 4am - 1230pm and schedule will be either Wed-Sun or Thurs-Mon
