Role Purpose Statement

As the Information Security Manager, you will manage the organization’s cybersecurity initiatives. Your primary mission is to protect the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of our information systems and digital assets. This role requires a forward-thinking leader who can manage comprehensive security programs, ensure regulatory compliance, and proactively mitigate risks across the enterprise. You will collaborate closely with executive leadership, IT, and business units to foster a culture of security awareness and resilience. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in information security frameworks, strong leadership capabilities, and a hands-on approach to managing complex security challenges.   This position reports to the Information Security Officer.

Location: HQ in Irving, TX

Work Type: In office Mon-Thur, remote on Friday. 

Main Accountabilities

•Strategic Leadership:
Develop and implement a comprehensive information security strategy aligned with organizational objectives. Advise senior leadership on security risks, trends, and emerging threats.

•Risk Management:
Identify, assess, and prioritize cybersecurity risks. Recommend and implement mitigation strategies, oversee vulnerability management, and participate incident response efforts.

•Policy & Compliance:
Maintain security policies, procedures, and standards to ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and industry frameworks (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, ISO 27001). Participate in internal and external audits, assessments, and remediation initiatives.

•Incident Response & Continuity Planning:
Manage the incident response program, ensuring timely and effective resolution of security incidents. Oversee the development and testing of disaster recovery and business continuity plans.

•Security Architecture & Operations:
Recommend the design, deployment, and maintenance of security infrastructure. Ensure integration of security technologies and protocols across all systems and business processes.

•Team Leadership & Development:
Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing information security team. Promote a culture of continuous learning, collaboration, and professional growth. Oversee recruitment, training, and performance management.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

•Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s preferred).
•5+ years of experience in IT, business analysis, or relationship management roles.

•Strong knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks, risk management, and regulatory compliance
•Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders
•Experience with security technologies, incident response, and business continuity planning
•Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CISA) preferred
•Proven success in managing business partnerships and delivering IT solutions.
•Experience with enterprise applications, project management, and digital transformation initiatives.
•Occasional domestic travel for facility visits
•Proven experience in information security leadership roles
