Role Purpose Statement

The Regional Safety Manager leads and supports the execution of safety strategies across the assigned region, ensuring consistent regulatory compliance, risk reduction, and continuous improvement in safety performance. This role partners closely with CSC leadership to strengthen the organization's safety culture, enhance the effectiveness of safety training programs, and provide expert guidance on all safety-related matters. This position will have responsibility for safety leadership and support across the West Area, driving alignment and consistency in safety initiatives, compliance efforts, and best practices throughout the region.
 
Candidates must currently reside in one of the following locations: SEA, PDX, SFO, LAX, PHX, LAS.

 

Main Accountabilities

Regional Safety Leadership

  • Partner with CSC leadership to strengthen safety culture and drive continuous improvement in safety performance.
  • Provide expert guidance and coaching to safety leaders across the region, ensuring consistent application of safety standards and best practices.

Safety Program Execution

  • Implement and support regional and enterprise safety initiatives, ensuring alignment with corporate safety strategy.
  • Coordinate and deliver safety training programs, ensuring compliance and effectiveness across all CSC locations.

Data-Driven Performance Management

  • Monitor, analyze, and interpret safety data to identify trends, emerging risks, and improvement opportunities.
  • Develop and communicate actionable recommendations to reduce incidents and enhance safety outcomes.

Compliance & Risk Management

  • Support the completion of safety investigations, root cause analyses, and corrective action planning.
  • Participate in audits and risk assessments to ensure regulatory compliance and operational readiness.
  • Assist in the review, development, and rollout of safety policies, procedures, and communication materials.

Operational Support & Continuity

  • Serve as interim safety leadership support for CSC locations experiencing vacancies or staffing gaps.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address safety concerns, improve processes, and support organizational priorities.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Partner effectively with internal stakeholders, including CSC leaders and process owners, to maintain a unified safety approach.
  • Engage with external stakeholders, such as airline partners, regulatory bodies, insurers, and vendors, to support compliance and customer expectations.

  • Promote a proactive, accountable, and learning-oriented safety culture within the region.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Occupational Safety and Health, Industrial Hygiene, or a related field; or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of two years of professional safety experience.
  • Strong knowledge of applicable governmental regulations, including OSHA (and OSHA Recordkeeping Standards), NIOSH, DOT, and State OSHA Plans.
  • Understanding of airport and airfield ground operations safety.
  • Demonstrated leadership capability with a proven ability to influence and drive results.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including strong presentation and interpersonal abilities.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Teams) and other Windows-based applications.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Ability to travel up to 75% of the time.
