Role Purpose Statement

Main Accountabilities

Main Accountabilities

• Ensure compliance with all Continuous Improvement entities: man, method, machine.

• Partners with CSC Leadership to ensure operational efficiency and improving the day-to-day work lives of our employees.

• Participates in team-building exercises, and provides guidance and clarity based on internal methodologies.

• Ensure that the area of responsibility is properly organized, staffed and directed and that all delivery times are being met in a timely manner.

• Participate in daily work group meetings.

• Support staff to meet labor productivity and overtime targets.

• Ensure compliance with all government regulatory agencies standards (example: Food and Drug Administration (FDA), United Stated Department of Agriculture (USDA), Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), Environmental Protection Administration (EPA), Department of Transportation (DOT), Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP), etc.)

• Document and follow up on all department processes in order to implement improvements.

• Monitor and ensure compliance with all food safety regulations.

• Other duties as deemed necessary.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

Preferably studying in the field(s) of:

o Industrial Technology/Engineering

o Mechanical Engineering

o Business Administration

o Quality

o Safety

o Operations Management

• Basic understanding of Six Sigma/Kaizen/Lean/TQM concepts and principles.

• Strong mathematical, analytical, verbal, written interpersonal and organizational skills.

• Proficient/Advanced in using computer and basic software such as Microsoft Excel/Powerpoint/Word/Access.

• Interns will work in a variety of conditions ranging from hot to cold

• Must be capable of bending/standing/lifting/pushing/pulling.

• Flexibility in scheduling.

• Outgoing personality.

• Creativity and spirit.
