Role Purpose Statement

Seeking a detail oriented candidate that will assist with the management and administration of the material master database to ensure integration with specification adherence, purchasing and procurement initiatives. This person will work closely with internal department to support maximum opportunities by analyzing discrepancies from billing usage and actual usage and will resolve root causes for variances.

Main Accountabilities

•    Provide support to internal and external customers for material creation, changes, part number changes, deletions and supplier price files
•    Assist to resolve routine data problems, identify root causes of data quality problems and propose sustainable solutions
•    Assist in managing airline and retail menu order guides and cycle change reports
•    Analyze and review the quality of data in accordance with standards, policies and procedures and initiate corrective actions to ensure and improve the quality of data
•    Conduct audits of data within SAP in order to ensure accurate standard naming conventions, units of measure, moving average price (MAP), lean code assignment,  procurement source lists 
•    Monitor and process adhoc requests in team mail box such as troubleshooting, supporting and resolving SAP issues, MAP issues, material ingredient issues and general customer service support
•    Process tickets through scout system for lean code changes, MAP corrections, inventory issues and purchase order conversions
•    Support initiatives regarding material data in SAP and other supporting systems 
•    Assist with corporate initiatives and special projects as needed 
•    Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

•    Bachelor’s degree preferred or relevant experience required
•    Minimum one to three years of experience required
•    SAP Materials Management (MM) experience preferred 
•    Knowledge of food service business strongly desired
•    Self-motivated, able to prioritize and multitask activities, strong attention to detail
•    Good understanding of data structures particularly Master / Sub-master relationships
•    Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and Windows-based computer applications
•    Ability to meet hard deadlines from various groups
•    Ability to manage multiple projects utilizing strong planning and organizational skills


Physical Demands and Working Conditions:
•    Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally (1/3 to 2/3 of time) and/or negligible amount of force constantly (2/3 or more of time) to move objects; requires significant degree of walking or standing; requires sitting most of the time but entails pushing and/or pulling of arm or leg controls; requires working at a production rate pace entailing the constant pushing and/or pulling of materials even though the weight of those materials is negligible.
