Role Purpose Statement

The Senior Materials Coordinator is responsible for managing the timely and efficient procurement of materials to meet customer requirements and align with corporate objectives. This role plays a critical part in supporting operational readiness, cost control, and supply chain accuracy.

Main Accountabilities

  • Price and support special charters and functions; participate in food cost troubleshooting and resolution.

  • Develop tracking tools and solutions to identify and resolve food cost issues.

  • Procure products in accordance with supplier agreements, airline specifications, and product types.

  • Determine order quantities using forecast data, inventory on hand, supplier lead times, and delivery schedules.

  • Conduct physical inventory checks across product categories to ensure accurate ordering.

  • Source new items in coordination with suppliers and maintain data integrity in the purchasing system.

  • Resolve order discrepancies through timely communication with vendors.

  • Lead and conduct end-of-month physical inventory activities and reconciliation.

  • Identify and communicate overages or shortages; develop mitigation plans to address supply gaps.

  • Accurately interpret and analyze forecast and inventory reports to support purchasing decisions.

  • Maintain and update supplier address data within the purchasing system.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or inventory coordination.

  • Strong knowledge of SAP MM (Materials Management) module highly preferred.

  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills with a high level of attention to detail.

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills; able to collaborate across teams and departments.

  • High level of integrity, flexibility, and ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel and Outlook.
