Role Purpose Statement
We are seeking an energetic and results-driven Cold Food Supervisor to lead a dynamic team in a high-volume production environment. The ideal candidate thrives under pressure, takes pride in delivering high-quality food products, and excels at fostering employee engagement through consistent leadership and commitment to safety and operational excellence. This role is critical in ensuring that cold food production meets strict timelines, quality standards, and regulatory compliance, all while supporting a positive team culture.
Main Accountabilities
Supervisory Responsibilities

Ensure the department is well-organized, appropriately staffed, and effectively directed to meet daily production and delivery deadlines.

Conduct daily shift briefings to communicate goals, updates, and reinforce safety protocols.

Plan and schedule workforce requirements to optimize productivity while minimizing overtime.

Oversee compliance with all applicable regulatory standards (e.g., FDA, USDA, OSHA, EPA, DOT, HACCP).

Document department processes and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Guarantee accurate and on-time production of meals and catering for scheduled flights.

Enforce all workplace safety guidelines and maintain a clean and safe production area.

Perform other duties as assigned to support operations.
Leadership

Provide day-to-day leadership, coaching, and development to staff in alignment with HR policies and company values.

Promote and embody the organization’s mission, values, and performance expectations.

Monitor labor hours and costs within area of responsibility; take proactive steps to address variances.

Champion and participate in company-wide initiatives such as Lean Manufacturing, Quality, HACCP, and Employee Safety programs.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required.

1–3 years of relevant supervisory experience in a food production or manufacturing setting.

Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Effective interpersonal and communication abilities; capable of leading diverse teams to achieve results.

Familiarity with regulatory requirements including OSHA, GMP, FDA, USDA, and EPA.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Windows-based systems.

Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
