The Opportunity
The Employee Experience Manager is responsible for shaping what it truly feels like to work at SkyChefs day in and day out. In this role, you spend time understanding employee experiences from the front line to leadership, identifying what’s working and what isn’t, and turning that insight into practical improvements. You partner closely with managers to strengthen communication, support new hires through onboarding, and help build a workplace where people feel valued, supported, and motivated to stay. This role is hands‑on, people‑focused, and highly visible, you are the connector between employees and leadership, ensuring concerns are heard, issues are addressed early, and the overall employee experience continues to improve in a meaningful way.

How You'll Make a Difference
- Establish and ensure successful, productive, collaborative partnerships with local operations leaders and corporate partners to bring employee experience awareness into their processes, communications, and strategies.
- Spend time on the floor talking with employees, ask questions, listen, understand
- Design and execute effective initiatives focused on program improvement and increasing engagement (focus groups, surveys, etc.)
- Lead the partnership with operations leaders to launch and support the “Buddy” new hire onboarding program in their departments. Ensure compliance with program payments.
- Meet with new hires on a weekly basis to recap and evaluate orientation and training, answer questions, and address concerns.
- Identify patterns (what’s working, what isn’t)
- Lead the weekly Employee Experience Internal Feedback Loop (IFBL) meeting to address new hire orientation evaluations and program updates, feedback and ideas with leadership
- Administer and report weekly Employee Engagement scorecard on new hires engagement level and other KPIs
- Send weekly report to senior leaders on engagement trends, issues, training needs, etc.
- Be a supportive point of contact for newly hired employees.
- Encourage a culture where people feel appreciated and included
- Help create an environment people actually want to come to every day
What we look for in a Candidate
- Experience working in a people‑focused role (HR, employee engagement, operations support, etc.)
- Minimum of 1-3 years of experience performing root cause analysis, consulting leaders, and performing focus groups measuring employee retention, and performing focus groups.
- Comfortable talking to employees at all levels, from frontline staff to leadership
- Strong problem‑solving skills (you don’t need a playbook, you figure things out)
- Able to turn feedback into clear, practical action steps
- Organized, self‑motivated, and able to manage multiple priorities
- Strong communication skills, you know how to make things clear and relatable
- A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is preferred.
- Experience a in metrics-based HR role with a focus on improving turnover, employee engagement, and processes is highly preferred.
