Role Purpose Statement

Our San Francisco operations to support United Airlines is growing!  We are seeking a dedicated Ramp Safety Clerk to join our team. This is a Field position with responsibility for monitoring driver standard operating procedures (SOP;s) and working with the department to ensure compliance; in addition to maintaining and monitoring employee safety within our buildings.   This role will be a blend of 80% in the field (airport ramps) and 20% office.    The ideal candidate will have a background in aviation, ramp or safety experience.   At Sky Chefs, Safety is our #1 Core Pillar.  

Schedules:  Our operations run 24/7 and you must be flexible to be able to work an alternate schedule (than assigned) when needed.

Main Accountabilities

•    Responsible for SOP training for all new drivers and re-training of drivers
•    Responsible for updating and maintaining all driver files
•    Processing of all Port Authority/Customs identifications
•    Ensure all State inspections, registrations and Insurance ID’s for trucks are current
•    Responsible for ensuring all drivers adhere to A-1 Inspection procedures
•    Assist the Ramp Safety Supervisor as needed and perform other clerical duties as assigned
 

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

•    High School Diploma or equivalent
•    Mus possess a valid driver’s license and be able to obtain Airport SIDA badge and CBP Customs Seal within 30 days of hire
•    3-5 years of safety experience preferred; AOA ramp experience may be substituted year for year for Safety experience
•    Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook and other computer applications
•    Ability to work with minimum supervision
•    Strong analytical, verbal, written, interpersonal and organizational skills
•    Detail oriented
•    Ability to work in a fast paced environment with large groups – must be flexible
•    Open availability, ability to work nights and weekends as operations require
