Role Purpose Statement

This is a field-based role responsible for monitoring driver SOP compliance and partnering with the department to ensure all standards are met. The position also plays a key role in maintaining and overseeing employee safety within our facilities. 

The ideal candidate will bring experience in ramp operations, safety, or recent supervisory responsibilities.

This position requires availability from 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM. Weekend work is likely, with two consecutive days off during the week. Schedule flexibility is essential and may be required based on operational needs.

Main Accountabilities

•    Responsible for SOP training for all new drivers and re-training of drivers
•    Responsible for updating and maintaining all driver files
•    Processing of all Port Authority/Customs identifications
•    Ensure all State inspections, registrations and Insurance ID’s for trucks are current
•    Responsible for ensuring all drivers adhere to A-1 Inspection procedures
•    Assist the Ramp Safety Supervisor as needed and perform other clerical duties as assigned
 

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

•    High School Diploma or equivalent
•    Mus possess a valid driver’s license and be able to obtain Airport SIDA badge and CBP Customs Seal within 30 days of hire
•    3-5 years of safety experience preferred; AOA ramp experience may be substituted year for year for Safety experience
•    Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook and other computer applications
•    Ability to work with minimum supervision
•    Strong analytical, verbal, written, interpersonal and organizational skills
•    Detail oriented
•    Ability to work in a fast paced environment with large groups – must be flexible
•    Open availability, ability to work nights and weekends as operations require
