Role Purpose Statement

We are seeking a dynamic, people-oriented leader who thrives in a fast-paced operational environment. The Transportation Supervisor will oversee and motivate a team responsible for ensuring timely, accurate, and safe delivery of high-quality products to our customers. This role plays a key part in driving operational excellence by monitoring performance, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Main Accountabilities

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Organize, staff, and direct the transportation team to meet operational goals and delivery timelines.
  • Conduct daily team meetings to communicate priorities and address challenges.
  • Schedule and manage staff to achieve labor productivity and control overtime costs.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory standards, including FDA, USDA, OSHA, EPA, DOT, and HACCP.
  • Document and review departmental processes to identify and implement improvements.
  • Guarantee on-time and accurate catering and delivery for all flights.
  • Monitor adherence to safety regulations and company policies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Leadership

  • Guide, coach, and develop team members in alignment with company values and HR policies.
  • Promote and uphold company values and management principles within the department.
  • Manage productivity hours and costs; take corrective action when necessary.
  • Support and participate in company initiatives such as Quality, HACCP, Lean Manufacturing, Employee Safety, and Production Systems.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
  • 1–3 years of related supervisory or operational experience.
  • Strong problem-solving and leadership skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
  • Ability to lead and develop teams to achieve productivity and performance goals.
  • Working knowledge of OSHA, GMP, FDA, USDA, and EPA regulations.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office and Windows-based applications.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
  • Availability to work rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays.
